This position is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of medically prescribed Speech Language Pathology Therapy services to adults in their place of residence in order to achieve maximum developmental potential, functional gains and independence. The therapist must be able to work independently, as well as, in teams and make appropriate decisions based on each patient’s functional needs.



  • Bachelor's in Speech Therapy, Florida Speech Therapy License, CPR and Valid Florida Driver’s License.
  • Minimum one year of Home Care experience. 
  • This job requires dependability, flexibility and the ability to work on weekends and holidays on a rotational basis as needed.

The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences in the College of Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Florida is seeking a Clinical Speech Language Pathologist (official UF title:  Clinical Lecturer). Come join our team at one of the nation’s top university affiliated teaching hospitals and clinics located in beautiful North Central Florida.  Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of adult patients in an interdisciplinary outpatient rehabilitation setting.  Supervision of students on clinical rotations is also required. Preference will be given to applicants with experience treating patients with impaired voice, swallowing, cognition and communication as a result of neurologic disorders.  Occasional inpatient acute care rotation and teaching are possible. 

Applicants must have a minimum of a master’s degree and Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) in speech-language pathology, hold or be eligible for Florida state licensure, and possess strong interdisciplinary skills.  This is a full-time clinical position (1.0 FTE, non-tenure accruing, on a 12-month contract).
