Please take a moment to nominate an individual whom you feel has given substantial contributions to our profession. Note that nominations are only available to active FLASHA members. HONORS OF THE ASSOCIATION

…shall be bestowed upon a FLASHA member in recognition of distinguished contributions in speech-language pathology, audiology, or education of the hearing impaired over a period of time; plus, active participation/service to FLASHA.

 

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD

…shall be presented to a non-member for specific outstanding contribution, which supports FLASHA, through word or deed, in the attainment of its goals and objectives.

 

CLINICIAN OF THE YEAR

…shall be awarded to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding professional behavior and recent personal achievement in the field. This individual will be our Florida nominee for ASHA’s DiCarlo Award. Types of activities may include, but are not limited to: achievement with a single client or group of clients; program development; achievement in a state or local organization or government agency activity; clinical teaching, research, or administration.

 

CLINICAL CAREER AWARD

…shall be awarded to an individual in recognition of outstanding contributions to clinical science and practice in communication science and disorders over a 20-year or longer period.

This individual will be our Florida nominee for ASHA’s Kleffner Clinical Career Award. The lifetime contributions may have been in clinical service, supervision or administration of clinical service, clinical research, or any other activity, which has promoted excellence in clinical service.

 

SCHOOL CLINICIAN OF THE YEAR

…shall be awarded to an individual in recognition of exemplary commitment and contribution to the delivery of audiology and/or speech-language pathology services within a school setting. This individual will be our Florida nominee for ASHA’s Van Hattum Award. Eligible activities may include, but are not limited to: the conduct of exemplary clinical services, supervision or research; the development of an innovative program with emphasis on those that are replicable; the promotion or enhancement of public or private support for speech-language pathology and audiology services in the schools.

 

OUTSTANDING SERVICE AWARD

…shall be presented to a member for a specific outstanding contribution, which supports FLASHA, through word or deed, in the attainment of its goals and objectives.
